Unders for costumes
Under where?!?
Hello, Cast! I wanted those of you who are new to the program to know about our policy of the cast wearing "unders". These garments are basically for modesty and quick changes which may need to be performed around others. Unders is something you wear under your costume (or street clothes) but on top of your underwear. This way, everyone is always comfortable and covered. You want to make sure that your unders are a color and shape that work with your costume so that they aren't noticeable. Below are some pictures so that you have an idea of what we are looking for. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. (Lindsey, lindseyrinehart@hotmail.com). Thank you, Lindsey
Costume Update 1
Hello, Cast!
At rehearsal on Saturday, many of you wore your costumes and we were able to get many of them approved, thank you! In the attached spreadsheet, you can see if your costume(s) have been approved or if there are any requested changes. If you were not at rehearsal or able to wear your costume that day, please email me (Lindsey, lindseyrinehart@hotmail.com) a picture of your costume. I will be gathering all of them to be approved by Grace.
I have a few requests.
If you are a backup dancer for Joshie (Heidi, Molly, Elise, Aine, Sabrina, and Sansa) please email me your sizes in both tops and bottoms. Once we have a Joshie look approved, we will be on the hunt for backup dancer attire.
Finally, if anyone has a safety vest we could borrow for our Safety Patrol Officers, please let me know or bring it into rehearsal with you, we need a total of six!
Thank you!
-Lindsey
Important Costumes Info!
Hello!
This is Lindsey Rinehart from the costumes team for our production of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical. We are hoping to be able to source most of our costumes from our own closets this time around. I have included a google slideshow to give you an idea of Grace’s vision for the show. Each group has a slide, but in general we are shooting for an early 2000s (specifically 2005-2007) look.
Please WEAR your look for your character to rehearsal on Saturday, April 26th. Additionally, please BRING WITH YOU any back-up looks or additional looks if you are cast as multiple characters on the 26th as well. It is not required that you provide your own costume, so if you do not have anything that will work, we will make sure you are costumed.
Regarding shoes, please choose shoes that you own that you can dance in. Good types of shoes include any tennis shoes, converse, vans, or keds. Absolutely no crocs, heavy (loud) shoes, or heels.
Grace will approve or give feedback on looks on Saturday, April 26th and then you can wear your clothes home.
Please BRING YOUR COSTUMES on May 9th to stay at Lovegood through the show run. Costume Parade is planned for Saturday May 10th.
Thank You, Lindsey
