Picture a sculptor with hands dusted in stone. No one else can fully see what’s inside that rough block—but they can feel it. So they work slowly and deliberately, chipping away piece by piece until the masterpiece finally has a face. That’s what we do as performing artists.
We shape the work with intention—one rehearsal, one note, one beat of silence at a time—until something real stands in front of an audience. And this year at Lovegood, you’ve been doing exactly that. We’ve explored Characterization. We’ve strengthened Movement. Now we step into our next chapter: dedicating ourselves to the craft of theater arts—refining the details, sharpening the tools, and bringing the whole picture to life.
And we’re not doing it quietly. This spring, we’ve got an exciting lineup for you and your whole family—some West Side Story, some Seussical, Triple Threat, a little Shakespeare, and more surprises along the way.
We’d love to see you at the theater this spring—celebrating theatre at every stage, and cheering on the artists who are becoming something new right in front of your eyes.

Spring Break Camp (Ages 6-14)
March 23- March 27 | 9am - 12pm
Y’all are in for a treat for this year’s Spring Break Camp at Lovegood: a week-long adventure inspired by The Emperor’s New Groove and The Emperor Has No Clothes, where we explore what happens when pride gets loud, truth gets brave, and a story flips itself upside down (sometimes into a llama).
All week, we’ll build scenes, characters, and comedy from the inside out—playing with status, storytelling, physical transformation, and that delicious moment when the audience knows something the character doesn’t. We’ll move our bodies like cartoons sharpen our timing like pros, and practice the kind of ensemble work that makes a group feel like a team—the kind that can pull off chaos with style. Expect acting games, movement and character labs, devising, voice work, and plenty of chances to create bold, hilarious moments that still have something real underneath.
By the end of the week, campers will have shaped a playful performance to share—part theatrical mischief, part heart, and fully Lovegood: intentional, imaginative, and not afraid to say, “Cronk, Pull the Lever!”
